Kicukiro: More than 90 UNILAK students receive first aid certificates

About 90 students from the Institut Higher College Unilak, Kicukiro campus, received certificates after having followed a specialized first aid training provided by the Rwandan Red Cross (CR). All these students are new members of the Red Cross.

The ceremony, which took place on Monday July 22, brought together school administrators, representatives of the Red Cross and other stakeholders.

The training they followed aimed to improve their knowledge of how to help people facing health emergencies before they transport in the hospital.

One of the training participants said, “We have learned important things that will help us save lives. We thank the Red Cross for transmitting practical and useful knowledge to us. ”

In addition to the delivery of the certificates, a new committee of the youth section of the Red Cross at UNILAC- Kicukiro was also created, replacing the previous one, when exposed.

This new committee will be responsible for continuing young people to participate in the participation in rescue activities, volunteering and the well-being of others.

The regional coordinator of the Red Cross says that its objective is to encourage young people to participate in rescue activities and to continue to promote the values of humanity, cooperation and volunteering.

This ceremony has shown how young people can be the solution to problems that still affect the life of the population, thanks to training, knowledge and collaboration with different institutions.
