The Red Cross of Rwanda launched an app to help people learning how to do first aid


When the Red Cross of Rwanda was celebrating the international day dedicated to “FIRST AID” an application was released that is used to provide training on first aid and would help a person to provide first aid when they need it.

In celebration of the International Day of First Aid, which was given the theme: “First Aid in the Digital World”, the Red Cross of Rwanda launched an application that will help people learn how to do first aid.

This application will help people to train themselves wherever they are by learning the theories related to first aid.

The Deputy Secretary of the Red Cross of Rwanda, in charge of Communication and Humanitarian Diplomacy, Emmanuel Mazimpaka, who was the chief guest at this ceremony, thanked the participants of the event, where he especially thanked the partners of the Red Cross of Rwanda who contributed to the development of the Red Cross of Rwanda. basic assistance in this community; These donors include the Belgian Red Cross, which participated in the implementation of this application, the Austrian Red Cross and the Qatar Red Cross, which have been providing the Rwandan Red Cross with aid that is used in relief efforts.

He reflected to the duties of the Red Cross of Rwanda to be the State’s assistant in relief operations, where he has been involved in various relief operations in difficult times that Rwanda has been facing such as during the COVID 19 epidemic, in the Nyiragongo flood and the recent disasters that hit the Northern and Western provinces, where those affected by the disasters are receiving various assistance.

He pointed out the example of those who were affected by the disasters caused by the winter rains who were recently given assistance consisting of over 170 million Rwandan francs.

He also reflected to this application which is going to help those who want to get training that will help them to do first aid in critical situations.

When a person goes to this application and learns and takes a test on what he has learned, the application gives him a certificate and gives him to participate in the training of first aid in front of the teacher who follows the subject of practical knowledge. At the end of this, a person will have a sufficient course that consists of practical knowledge in performing first aid.
